The Find

I’ve lived a whole life in this slow wind
I rattled back and forth for a while

I never held on to the metal bars
While I alone was being carried off

And no one had assistance for me
They all stared up at the busy sky

It’s only you, but you can’t see it
It’s only you, and you pass it by

Once a day and then on and on
That’s how I know I fell so far.
