Sanguine Diffidence

I won’t oppose myself, I will cohabit

A reserved tree branch, one that is dying

Soon to fall, but hasn’t fallen yet

There is a vale between me, every line joined

It has been there since birth, it can be seen from the death of trees

One unwitting and shy, the other mind bespeaking

These take all my energy, I can be nothing else

While it resides and pervades, assuming this is correct

I play on, little brain.
