Discussion: Parallel lines of water.
Don’t just stand in the shower
With your hands behind your back
Once upon a time, I was smitten by you
I emulated you in every way I could think of
You said goodbye, I asked why, but I knew
The lines were stilted and sodden, askew
You walked away and kept getting smaller
Explanation: You stayed exactly the same size
My eyes and brain conspired to make you
Shrink, linearly and proportionally and emotionally
Like railroad tracks, but nowhere near as straightforward.
This physic of illusion keeps everything from being in focus at once
Nobody tells you these things; even if they did, it would be too late
The converging hiss of water will not be held, eventually you are clean
You need to focus on the largest things, they will be closest
Ha! That doesn’t always work, does it? I before E except after C.
Example: You have always been the closest thing to me,
My love for you grows larger, despite passing the vanishing point.
