even more in love, it was obvious.
You curled in a tight ball on the floor
and glanced at me as your friend.
Oh, what is this animal I found.
It is odd, I think, that I ignored you
completely and virulently for two days
prior to succumbing to your brilliance
and wanting to orbit you like a moon,
sterile and bright, prescriptive and neutral,
an incalculable distance from only that one thing.
