The amber lamp on my amplifier

blinks and flickers

but never when I am looking right at it.

The corner of my eye fears that it is sending

desperate signals, Morse code,

shouting with light about something.

 

The wire to the bulb was loose

I soldered it;  a ball of solder

dropped and burned my leg

 

Now the blinking has stopped

but the light seems

dimmer than before.
